With a small footprint and low profile,
measuring only 56x128x27mm and weighing just 75g,
GLACIÄR MICRO is designed for easy integration into
equipment where space is limited. Communicating
digitally using Modbus RTU over RS485, and with very low
power consumption under 25mA, the refrigerant gas
detector is simple to interface with a range of
equipment control systems. Rated IP65, GLACIÄR MICRO can
be installed in harsh environments.
“I am excited to be bringing another new refrigerant
leak detection solution to the market for our
customers,” said Tom Burniston, Marketing Director for
SAMON.
“Our mission is to help the refrigeration industry to
keep people, products, and the environment safe. GLACIÄR
MICRO helps us reach new areas to enable that,
integrating easily into heat pumps, refrigerated display
cases, ice machines, and other appliances where
refrigerant leak detection is a growing requirement but
has traditionally been difficult achieve.”
GLACIÄR MICRO is the latest release in SAMON’s GLACIÄR
platform of simply reliable refrigerant gas detectors,
following the launch of
GLACIÄR MIDI earlier in 2023. SAMON also recently
announced the opening of a new US office located in
Atlanta, GA, adding to the European offices already
located in Sweden, Spain, France, and the UK.

presenting a danger to life and health. A core part of
SAMON AB’s mission is to keep people safe who are
working in these dangerous environments. SAMON AB is a
trusted partner to the refrigeration industry with over
30 years’ experience, sharing the values of
